Our apartment is in such a perfect location. We live 2 minutes walking distance from the metro stop Príncipe Pío, and about 5 minutes walking distance from another metro stop at Plaza España. I can also walk to school in about 10 minutes (this is quite a blessing when I go out the night before class :)!). Our place is small but it is perfect for us four, and the girls decorated it so nicely that it feels cozy like home. We do have a washing machine, but no dryer, so we have to hang our clothes outside on a clothesline like true europeans. Unfortunately we have limited hot water, so we have to take 5 minute showers and decide whether to wash our hair or shave our legs...oh, the troubles of being a woman. Our street has a Tobaco store (basically a convenience store with stamps, magazines, gum, drinks, candy etc.), Happy Mart (another convenience type place with everything from food to wine glasses and laundry detergent), and a Heladería(Ice Cream shop). On the street perpendicular to ours there is a Panadería (bakery) and a little bar.
