The last couple months have been crazy, and have flown by so fast. We have had a million and one visitors and have taken some pretty awesome trips. At the end of February my roommates and I traveled down to Cadiz, a city in south western Spain. Cadiz is home to Carnaval, one of the biggest annual festivals in Spain. This holiday is internationally celebrated and I'm sure most of you are familiar with it as Mardi Gras! We took an overnight bus down and found sleeping accomodations the day we got there(very last minute)...it was such an adventure and we were super lucky to have found a place to stay since everything had been booked for months! So many people come from all over Spain and Europe to come to Carnaval that it isn't abnormal to find people sleeping on the beaches, or just staying out all night long until the sun comes up! This festival lasts for about 10 days and we were there during the weekend kick-off, so it was extra crazy. It's basically like a giant, outdoor halloween party where everyone gets in full costume and parties the night away. During the day the weather was incredible and we were able to soak up the rays on the beach...you all know how much I love that!
